Yesterday was Executive Brat's first flying lesson. He was so excited! I took about 20 pictures lol. He flew a C-172, that's a single engine plane. It seats four people. Tarzan and I declined to fly with him. Tarzan is scared of flying and I didn't want to make Executive Brat nervous! The big smile on my brats face was priceless for me! Executive Brat got his log book and his first half hour recorded! The price wasn't hateful, only $60 for half an hour. If he wants to continue that will cost me lol! What was I thinking? I could not believe that I cried! I did! I wasn't scared for him. I just realized my brat is growing up! I didn't even feel that emotion coming on, I want my big baby back.

That looks like so much fun. I must do that when my little wombat gets bigger. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I would be a nervous wreck...I hate flying, though. Glad he had a good time!
ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter was doing her ballet performance, I had diarrhea beforehand. That was my way of dealing with it, she was totally fine and did great. :O)
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been taking flying lessons... it's been a lifelong dream which he didn't get to start until age 40. So I'd say the executive brat is pretty lucky! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Kids really grow up fast and before you know it they're flying off in airplanes, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think it's hilarious that "adventurous brat" is sleeping in her picture. too funny.

I think I would have the same reaction you did. I hate the fact that time marches on so darn quickly!
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly! I used to have trouble breathing back when my daughter was a cheerleader up on the top of pyramids or flying on a wing and a prayer. I cannot imagine letting my child fly an airplane. Whew! You are brave, Woman!
ReplyDeleteFlying in small planes and helicopters is so exciting. I always feel the danger too!

ReplyDeleteI found your site through a blog we both follow, and this post scared the bejezuz out of me! I am terrified of flying in big planes, there's no way I could handle such a tiny one! Kudos to you for allowing your son to pursue his flying dreams :)

Hi Christine, Our son who is 23 took his first lesson last week. He was so excited, it has been a dream of his since he was a little boy. I'm thrilled for him, but now getting a little worried in the thinking of him taking us flying someday in one of those little tiny planes. ;0
